Terms and Condition
It is important prior to registering your dog that you have read and understood all of the following terms and conditions expected by The Collar Club, to ensure the safety of our staff and doggos.
- All dogs must attend daycare for at least 2 days per week to allow them to bond with the pack.
- All dogs who attend daycare MUST wear a regular flat collar.
- All dogs must be walked in and out of our facility on lead and must remain on lead at all times.
- Only dogs considered to be well socialised, who enjoy the company of other dogs and people, are suitable for joining our daycare.
- Please note that not all dogs are suitable.
- Dogs with certain behavioural or aggression issues will not be accepted.
- All male dogs over the age of 1 year must be neutered. (This is at staff’s discretion and depends on each individual dog’s hormone changes and behaviour)
- If you need to drop off or collect your dog either before or after our opening hours an additional charge will apply and you’ll need to arrange this in advance.
- Female dogs who come into season will not be able to attend daycare for the duration of their season (2-4 weeks).
- All dogs accepted must have an up-to-date vaccination certificate including kennel cough. It is the owner’s responsibility to keep these up-to-date.
- In the unlikely event of your dog being involved in an accident or in an emergency we will make every effort to contact you or your nominated contact. However, if we are unable to contact you, or if the situation is deemed time critical, your dog’s interests will become paramount and we will take your pet to your selected veterinary surgery for treatment. Any treatment given will be at the discretion of the vet, and payment will be your responsibility.
- Photography: During your dog’s stay they may be photographed, or videod and these images may be used on The Collar Club website, social media outlets and printed literature.
- All photos taken remain the property of The Collar Club.
- Daycare payments must be kept up-to-date and be paid in full before the end of each month in advance. Please note payments are due by the 25th of each month, this includes December.
- We close over for a short break over the December holidays to give our staff a much needed rest. However December fees are still payable.
- Should you wish to remove you dog from The Collar Club 1 calendar months’ notice must be given by email (admin@iris-house.org)
- Should you be unable to give notice a fee of R800 is payable to cancel your contract.
- The Collar Club will not accept responsibility for the death, injury or illness of your dog. You are strongly advised to insure your pet for all eventualities.
- The Collar Club reserves the right to refuse, or terminate the contract of any dog or owner who displays aggressive, destructive or unreasonable behaviour.
- You, the client, will indemnify The Collar Club and its staff against any claims for loss or injury caused to either, The Collar Club staff, The Collar Club property or other clients’ dogs which are caused by your pet or as a result of breach of these terms and conditions, negligence or otherwise.
- Please do not bring your dog if they are sick, or have had recent surgery. Your dog will not be allowed in the facility if he/she is showing any signs of illness or infection such as: coughing, skin infections, parasite infections, sickness, diarrhoea, mucous discharge from eyes, ears, nose or genitalia.
